Policy Research Project, Community Wealth Creation and Conservation (Fall 2018-Spring 2020) | Austin, TX | Dehradun, India
Developed a policy research report presented to the Indian government and coordinated by the Wildlife Institute of India (WII) involving in depth field work in the Himalayan region of northern India
Coordinated and conducted interviews with national, state and local government units and nongovernmental organizations in Uttarakhand, India in order to make recommendations on how to consolidate human wildlife conflict in protected forest and wildlife conservation areas
Filmed and edited a documentary surrounding the research and fieldwork conducted UT and WII on the policy issues surrounding the Van Gujjar including hundreds of hours of footage using Final Cut Pro
Combined in-class research with fieldwork to design a visual report published alongside our research using Adobe InDesign with an emphasis on wealth creation, sustainable livelihoods, and entrepreneurship

Filmed lectures and interviewed residents on their experiences for UT and the TAOYAKA Program at Hiroshima University with a focus on the key takeaways on regional development in poor rural areas
